6 Good Reasons to Quit Your Job and Start Your Dream Business

Should you quit your job to start your dream business?

However, this is a guest post from Chimezie John Duru. He shares with us reasons to quit your job and become an Entrepreneur.

As I always state, entrepreneurship calls for action and risk-taking.

Not everyone is born with a stellar memory, but anybody can embrace entrepreneurship.

Quit Your Job

What is Entrepreneurship?

This is the willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in other to make a profit.

According to the author of Rich Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, he said and I quote,

“We were all trained to go to school, study hard and after that get a good job”.

It was a mindset that was transferred even from childbirth.

As a matter of fact, you were trained consciously to study hard to get a degree and after that, you get a nice job that will pay you for 40-45 years.

Your subconscious mind has been given this command from childhood, which is why breaking off from it requires some certain guidelines and principles.

So why should you quit your job?

Ever since the industrial age, we have been trending on job security, even up till now.

An industrial man will always feel secure on this type of platform. From this, he feeds his family, pays the rent, school fees etc.

Though we are now in the 21st century called the jet age, a lot of things are changing by the day.

Quitting your job might be hard, but taking charge of your own business is what you should work on.

I am not saying getting a job is bad! But how far will this your job sustain you?

There are benefits of becoming an entrepreneur and that’s why I said you should quit your job and become an entrepreneur.

1. Time Freedom

Quit your job

If you need total time freedom, this is one of the reasons to quit your job and start a business

If you have a job, you won’t even have time for yourself. You wake up as early as 6 a.m to get ready for work. You go for work around 8 a.m and come back by 6 p.m. Ooh! what a hectic day!

And you know the worst part of it?

Any day you miss out on that routine (9-5) might be the day you will be fired.

Also, as an employee, how many times have you been to vacation wholeheartedly?

No time freedom for you to spare to your families and friends.

But as an entrepreneur, this is the benefits you get.  Enough time to spend with your friends and family.

In other words, time freedom is essential for you. Getting yourself worked out and building up for others is what you really want. Become an entrepreneur and get started with a life of freedom.

2. Passive Income

The joy of having a passive income is one of the reasons to quit your job and do something for yourself.

Don’t you want to wake up every morning and see your bank account getting fatter?

What I meant by earning passively, is earning even when you are not present, earn while you are not working or sleeping.

All you need do is work smart.  Example of passive income earners, starting from bloggers and developers: Neil Patel, Jide Ogunsanya, Linda Ikeji. Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates etc.

You can become more successful only if you change your mindset.

3. Execute your Ideas

You have a future. You have many things to achieve and you can only achieve that if you become independent by starting your own business.

As an entrepreneur, you have better options to execute your ideas and take risks. You can either fail or succeed. But what matters is that you have taken action to do something different.

Also, it creates room for you to prove your worth to the society and your former boss.  Take charge and do the right thing.

4. Travel Around The World

Quitting your job and starting your own business also, gives you the opportunity to travel the world and meet with other entrepreneurs and share ideas together.

However, you get connected to a lot of people. People will see you as a value creator even though you are creating wealth.

5. Become a leader and expert

You will be seen as a leader in your industry.

Entrepreneurs are action and risk takers. They learn and build up giant strand companies. What I am telling you is that you will become phenomenal and get recognized worldwide.

6. Most Thriving Industry

Entrepreneurship is one of the thriving industries in the world today. Get the idea or service, work towards it and watch it become a gold mine for you.

Moreover, you can change your financial status, no matter who you are or where you living.  All you need is to give birth to that idea and push on with it.  You can start locally but think globally, with time it will tell.

Wrapping Up

Finally, entrepreneurship deserves to be called upon.  It has made millions of broken individuals multi-billionaires and millionaires. You can start locally but think globally.

If you want to achieve your dream and make it come alive, venture into entrepreneurship.

“You are not rewarded for what you know, but what you do with what you know”
